The Bill (Reg. No4449) is aimed at the adjusting of the national legislation principles in accordance with the demands of the Convention on Rights and Liberties Protection ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the year 1997 and clause 9 of the Constitution of Ukraine.
In particular it suggests amendments to the effective criminal and Criminal-Procedural Codes, Law "On Bodies and Services in Children and Special Establishment for Children Matters", envisaging the possibility of placing of children aged 11-18 that committed crimes or due to other circumstances must be isolated, into the juvenile reception centres after the court´s judgment.
